COVID-19 continues to disproportionately impact racialized and lower-income groups, and the divides created by remote learning have only served to exacerbate the systemic inequalities in our society.

A $100,000 general operating grant from the Peter Gilgan Foundation will support Level’s ongoing project to increase equitable access to justice with a special focus on Indigenous youth in Canada.

We are excited to announce that our 2020-2021 Blazing Trails Mentorship Program is now open for applications!

For 2020-2021, CN commits $50,000 in support of Level’s Indigenous Youth Outreach Program (IYOP), a program developed in consultation with Indigenous elders and advisors throughout Canada to provide justice education and mentorship for First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth.

We caught up with a few of our incredible mentors to hear their thoughts on mentorship, carving out a legal career, navigating a changing job market as a young lawyer, and their experiences with the program. 

Level is seeking justice sector volunteers from across Canada to help us create new mock trial scenarios for use in our youth outreach programming.
