TANYA MUSHYNSKI

Tanya Mushynski is a legal, operations and human resources leader with expertise spanning commercial law, customer experience, organizational development and diversity, equity and inclusion. She has experience in public sector, publicly traded and privately held organizations and leading in both

unionized and non-unionized workforces. Tanya was a recipient of the WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 TM award in the Executive Leaders category in 2021.

As the Vice President of People and Culture at the Electrical Safety Authority, Tanya is responsible for the entire human resources function including planning, developing, implementing and maintaining people and business management strategies, policies, programs and services. This includes labour and employee relations, resource planning, health management, health and safety, organizational culture and change, talent acquisition and development, training, total rewards, succession planning and employee recognition.

As Vice President of Customer Care at Enbridge Gas Inc. from 2018 to 2023, Tanya led the strategy, operations and integration of the utility’s customer interface functions and had accountability for the systems and processes that support the business’ 3.9 million retail customers for all aspects of billing,

customer contact and revenue management. Before this role from 2017 to 2018 Tanya was Vice President Canada Gas and Union Gas Law at Enbridge Inc., accountable for the legal affairs of Union Gas Limited as well as legal and regulatory affairs for Enbridge Inc.’s gas operations in western Canada. She

served as Vice President, General Counsel – Canada for Spectra Energy Corp prior to the company’s merger with Enbridge in 2017.

Tanya spent twelve years at Ontario Power Generation in a variety of senior positions in the legal, business development and human resources functions. Her career began at Torys LLP, a major Canadian business law firm.

In addition to a BA from McGill University (Joint Honours, Economics and Political Science), Tanya holds a Bachelor of Civil Law and Bachelor of Laws from McGill University. She has two Master’s degrees, one in business administration (also from McGill University) and the second in adult education and counselling psychology (from the University of Toronto).
