Samantha currently works as the Program Coordinator with the YMCA Black Achievers Mentoring Program, and a Code member of the YMCA Black Employees Staff Advisory Committee, an Anti-Black Racism facilitator, and member of the Pickering Library Anti-Black Working Group. Before joining the YMCA, she was a Social Worker at a senior’s nursing home for 6+yrs and has been teaching the Social Service Worker at a community college for the last 8yrs. Her degrees and certifications are in the field of Social Work, and Children and youth studies. On her free time Samantha volunteers her time and knowledge whether in fundraising events, or community outreach with organizations such as Violence against women services, Sick Kids, North York harvest food bank and her church community connection.
