Overview

Position: Program Coordinator

Job Term: 12 Months, Part-Time Contract (with the possibility of renewal)

Location: Remote/Work from home, anywhere in Canada

Salary: 10 hours per week at $30 per hour 

Reporting to: Executive Director

Anticipated Start Date: September 2024

Education: BA in business administration or relevant field

As a national justice education and human rights charity, Level provides innovative, targeted programs for youth, law students, and legal professionals. Our work is deeply rooted in the community and aims to inspire positive change towards equity and justice in people’s lives, communities, and legal systems. 

About the Opportunity

Level is seeking a Program Coordinator who will manage the day-to-day operations of programs to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. We are seeking an exceptional communicator with great organization skills and who enjoys working independently as well as with a team of passionate staff dedicated to building a future of fairness and equity.  

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination  

  • Support planning and coordination between Level’s programs and activities 

  • Support the coordination of program volunteers, Program Facilitators, and field trips and ensure volunteers and program facilitators have all the materials and information needed for program sessions

  • Assist Program Managers to oversee operations, set priorities, prepare reportsand assist in grant application preparation and fundraising

Relationship Building  

  • Assist Program Managers to build positive relations within the team and externalstakeholders and foster a positive, collaborative work environment

  • Assist in marketing, communication and media management

  • Support organizational growth and development

Administrative  

  • Planning, scheduling, organizing, and assisting Program Managers with program-related tasks

  • Assist Program Managers to ensure all program materials are organized and accessible to program personnel

  • Maintaining agendas and updating program records

  • Ensure correct technology use for operations

  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring budgets and preparing financial records

  • Assist and coordinate the purchase of equipment and supplies


Qualifications:

  • Experience as a program coordinator or a similar position

  • Knowledge of program management and development procedures

  • Proficient in Dropbox, MS Office, Google Drive, AdobeAcrobat, Asana and other similar programs/software

  • Experience and ability to foster collaboration and teamwork•Impeccable management, organizational, leadership and team-building skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and be timely and efficient

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Understanding of procedures that increase efficiency

  • Experience in budget planning, tracking, monitoring and reporting

  • Ability to generate analytical reports to measure program impact
