Join us for this FREE event taking place Thursday, May 30th from 6-9 pm at Globalive’s incredible SHAMBA Foundation, located at Suite 1200, 48 Yonge Street in downtown Toronto.

The 2013 Rights of Spring cocktail party features keynote speaker Bob Rae, MP for Toronto Centre, who will speak about “Where is Canada in the World on Conflict Resolution and Governance?”

In addition to this timely discussion, the evening will also provide an opportunity to meet with a wonderful mix of people from legal, corporate and academic worlds.

Of course, attending Rights of Spring is also a great way to support an important cause. Our Silent Auction will feature: a lunch with Bob Rae, designer dress and fitting, Blue Jays’ tickets, and much more!

All proceeds from this event support CLA’s programming, including our Student Internship and Dare to Dream programs. Dare to Dream is an exciting new program that sets out to empower Aboriginal youth by connecting them with lawyers and law students and engaging them in law-related activities like a criminal mock trial, defamation lawsuit, tour of a law firm, tour of a courthouse, and more. The program was recently profiled in the Globe and Mail (HERE), the Canadian Bar Association’s National Magazine (HERE) and in Precedent Magazine (http://lawandstyle.ca/justice-is-observed/) .

CLA received great positive response from attendees to last year’s Rights of Spring cocktail event, and we expect the same this year!  Read about last year's Rights of Spring in our blog post here: Debrief: CLA’s 2012 Rights of Spring Cocktail Party

We look forward to seeing you there!
