Internship Update: 2017

For over 10 years, Level (formerly Canadian Lawyers Abroad) has helped facilitate internships for Canadian law students at international and Indigenous human rights organizations across the globe. We are proud to have helped over 150+ students gain knowledge and experience from some of the brightest minds in the legal profession, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing partners for their dedication to advancing access to justice initiatives and supporting Level's mission to change lives through law

That said, things are changing. As we continue to grow, and take things to the 'next Level' (pun intended) we want to make sure that every program we offer is the absolute best that it can be. With that in mind, after careful thought and reflection, we've decided to suspend and review our domestic and global internship program in 2017. In particular, we will be assessing the program's connection to our mandate and strategic vision for the organization, and whether it makes the most effective use of Level's expertise, resources and network. While this is a big change, we remain committed to working with our valued partner organizations to create unique research opportunities for law students beyond the classroom.
