FATIMA BEYDOUN

Fatima Beydoun is currently pursuing a JD/BCL at McGill University in Tiohtiá:ke (Montreal), situated on the unceded territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation. Hailing originally from the unsurrendered Mi’kmaq territory of K’jipuktuk (Halifax), she holds a combined honours undergraduate degree in Environmental Sustainability and International Development Studies from Dalhousie University.

With a strong commitment to youth empowerment and human rights, Fatima has been actively engaged in various social justice initiatives. She has long served as a youth leader with Amnesty International Canada and has also been deeply involved in environmental, migrant, and racial justice efforts both on her campus and within her community. Through her advocacy work, Fatima collaborates with others in combining her passions to promote more equitable systems, both locally and on a global scale.
