Ever Imafidon is a current 3L student at Lincoln Alexander School of Law (LASL). She is interested in criminal litigation, and internal investigation matters. At LASL, Ever serves on the Academic Integrity Council, offering a student perspective, and is a member of the Black Law Students Association. Ever is co-founder of the Pardons Clinic at the law school. The clinic supports formerly convicted individuals in accessing a record suspension. This is in alignment with Ever’s belief that a justice system that at its core is not about rehabilitation and reconciling us with one another will continue to be a system fraught with injustice. The Pardons clinic aims to be a vessel through which individuals can access support in interacting with this system to receive pardons.

Before law school, Ever attended University of Toronto, graduating with high distinction. She majored in Political science and double minored in African Studies and Women and Gender studies. She has previously worked with various groups and organizations dedicated to working with marginalized folks.  A few of these include the Imani Black Mentorship Program (IMANI) at University of Toronto, the Do the Knowledge Program (DTK) with The Blackstone Foundation Library, and the Community Healing Project (CHP) at Stella’s Place.

At Imani, Ever served as a mentor, facilitator and then co-Lead in her final year. She worked with Black university students in mentoring Black middle school and high school students in envisioning university as a space they deserve to occupy. At DTK, Ever produced and facilitated workshops on Black history, tools and resilience. Additionally, Ever facilitated workshops at CHP as part of the National Crime Prevention Strategy. There she received mental health and trauma-informed training that she utilized in producing workshops on trauma and community violence in communities in Scarborough.

Today, Ever continues to be interested in prioritizing marginalized voices through looking at concepts such as leaving the supported 99 to go look after the one. She believes this confounds human selfishness and is the marker of love and resilience we should strive for. Her hobbies include playing the saxophone and volleyball.
