Black Youth Justice Program
Caitlyn Alegbe is a first generation Canadian-Nigerian-Jamaican Queer woman. Currently, Caitlyn is a J.D. candidate at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law where she aspires to work with youth as a criminal lawyer. With her experience working with racialized and Queer youth, Caitlyn is committed to challenging systems that actively target and oppress youth within the justice system. Caitlyn graduated Summa Cum Laude from McMaster University with a degree in Political Science and a specialization in Public Law and Judicial Studies. She is excited to further her work with youth through facilitation as she recognizes the first step of change is the ability to learn and unlearn.
